Managed IT Support
Your business needs someone responsible for its technology. Nexxiv brings day-to-day support, maintenance and practical advice together, so computers, accounts and networks receive consistent attention. It is an approach for owner-operated businesses that rely on IT but do not need to build an internal IT department.
When it matters
Make the technology easier to manage.
When IT falls to whoever knows the most about computers, routine work is easy to miss. Updates wait, permissions accumulate and the owner becomes the escalation point for every problem. Reactive support deals with a fault after it interrupts work. Managed IT also looks after the environment between faults, with agreed responsibilities, regular maintenance and a record of what needs attention.
What Nexxiv does
Practical work. Clear responsibilities.
Support with ownership
Raise an issue through the agreed support channel and Nexxiv investigates, explains the next steps and follows it through. Remote troubleshooting covers everyday device, application and access problems; on-site requirements are scoped where needed.
Devices kept in order
Maintain an inventory of supported computers, monitor agreed health indicators and manage operating system and application updates. Replacement planning helps address ageing equipment before it becomes a recurring interruption.
Accounts and Microsoft 365
Administer users, licences and permissions. A consistent onboarding and offboarding process gives staff appropriate access, removes access when they leave and preserves business information according to agreed requirements.
Security and networks
Manage agreed security settings and review issues affecting devices, identity and connectivity. Network support, access controls and patching work together rather than being treated as unrelated tasks.
Documentation and advice
Keep useful records of systems, suppliers, responsibilities and configuration. Explain priorities in business terms, coordinate relevant vendors and plan changes around operational needs and available budget.
The outcome
What good implementation looks like.
A well-managed environment has clear ownership. Staff know how to obtain help, routine changes follow a repeatable process and important information is documented. The initial review identifies gaps and separates immediate remediation from ongoing management. Service hours, response arrangements, supported systems and exclusions are agreed before work begins.
Reactive or managed?
Fix the issue.
Then look after the environment.
Reactive support
Useful for an isolated fault or occasional task. Work starts when a problem is reported and is scoped around that immediate need.
Managed IT
Adds ongoing responsibility: updates, account changes, monitoring, documentation and planned improvements. Support hours, response targets, exclusions and project work are agreed in the service scope.
Common questions
Before you get started.
Does managed IT include everything?
The service scope defines the users, devices and systems covered. Hardware, subscriptions, significant projects and specialist work may be separate. Nexxiv sets out those boundaries so the business understands what is included.
Can you take over an existing environment?
Yes. Onboarding starts with authorised access, an inventory and a review of the current setup. Existing suppliers, business applications and any known issues are considered before changes are made.
Can we start with a smaller project?
Yes. A defined assessment or remediation project can establish the immediate priorities. Ongoing management can then be considered against the business’s needs, rather than assumed from the outset.
